Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a cardiac travel nurse. I graduated from nursing school in 2017 and I specialized in heart transplants and mechanical circulation. I’m a little shy sometimes, but once we become friends, I’m usually very outgoing (aka very loud). I foster dogs and help them find FUR-ever homes (I love sheltering pitbulls!).
What are some of your hobbies?
I love trying new foods, finding really interesting hiking spots.
What are some current interests you have?
Currently, I love traveling (for both work and leisure!). I love experiencing and immersing myself in a new culture every time I travel. My favorite!
What are three fun facts about you?
- This is going to sound so weird- but I’m DEATHLY afraid of pigeons; but I’m always able to tell when a pigeon is in my vicinity (before I even see them).
- My favorite fruit is durian and the “pungent” smell that people complain about has never bothered me.
- I went skydiving when I was 19 and I really want to get my certification to dive solo!
What do you love most about yourself?
I love my spontaneity and sense of adventure! Some of my favorite trips are the ones that are planned last minute and with just a general idea of what we want to do! I try to push my boundaries and I’m a firm believer that adventure begins where your comfort zone ends! It doesn’t have to be a lavish trip to an exotic country- it could be to a new hiking spot that has the best view, trying a “hole in the wall” restaurant that’s off the beaten path, or buying last minute concert tickets to see a group that everyone has been raving about!
How would you define your lifestyle right now as a young adult?
Right now, I’m always on the go! My lifestyle is super minimalistic (and I basically live out of a suitcase) just because of the traveling I do- whether it be for work or pleasure.
What’s your favorite dessert from Filipino Fusion Desserts?
Without a doubt, my favorite Filipino Fusion dessert is their Ube Crinkle Cookies!
