This summer, we were fortunate to be a part of an amazing event called Savour the Philippine Islands, organized by Arlene Oliveros, the very first #pinaysomm. The evening event included a spectacular dinner by Chef Jonald Quinto of Kabalen Restaurant in Toronto. Each meal was paired with wine, followed by social networking (with a speed-dating format).🍷 At dinner, participants explored the hidden culinary gems of the Philippines 🇵🇭 and learned more about wines.

We called it #fiftyshadesofube, our delicious #UbeCheesecake with an #Ube galaxy glaze & gold leaf, atop of 100% pure Malagos chocolate shavings from #Davao and crushed roasted cashews from Palawan.

Appetizers:
